On May 16-17, 2012, the Secretary General of the Organization for Democracy and Economic Development – GUAM, Mr. V. Chechelashvili, paid a working visit to Vienna.

On April 26-27, 2012, the GUAM Secretariat in Kyiv, Ukraine hosted the fifth meeting of the Working Sub-Group on Combating Corruption and Money Laundering (WGS-CML), which was held under Georgia’s chairmanship. Representatives of the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) took part in the meeting.

On April 24, 2012 at the GUAM Secretariat in Kyiv, the Secretary General of GUAM, Ambassador Valery Chechelashvili, held a meeting with the U.S. Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of State, Mr. Brian A. Nichols.

On April 19-20, 2012, the GUAM Secretariat in Kyiv hosted the 14th meeting of the Working Group on Tourism with the participation of representatives of tourism-related administrations and tourist operators from GUAM member states.

On April 19-20, 2012 the GUAM Secretariat in Kyiv, Ukraine hosted the 10th meeting of the Working Sub-Group on Combating Drug Trafficking (WGSDT), which took place under Azerbaijan’s chairmanship.
