On December 21, 2011, Secretary General of Organization for Democracy and Economic Development – GUAM, Mr. V.Chechelashvili was received by Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Mr. K.I. Gryshchenko.

On December 20, 2011 in Baku, Republic of Azerbaijan, the 5th Meeting of the GUAM Working Group on Energy took place under the Presidency of Azerbaijan, with the participation of representatives of the respective agencies of GUAM member states and the GUAM Secretariat.

On December 15-16, 2011, the GUAM Secretariat in Kyiv, Ukraine hosted the 14th meeting of the Working Group on Combating Terrorism, Organised Crime and Drug Trafficking (WGCTOC).
The Working Group reviewed the report on its activities in 2011 and agreed on the Plan Regarding Organisational and Practical Measures for 2012.

On December 13-14, 2011, the GUAM Secretariat in Kyiv, Ukraine hosted the 8th meeting of the Working Sub-Group on Combating Trafficking in Persons and Illegal Migration (WGS-TIP), which was held under the chairmanship of Moldova.

On December 12, 2011, Mr. Valeri Chechelashvili, the Secretary General of the Organization for Democracy and Economic Development – GUAM paid a working visit to the Azerbaijan Republic.
