On 25 January 2010 GUAM Secretary General Mr. Valeri Chechelashvili received Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania H.E. Mr. Pietras Vaitiekūnas.
On 25 January 2010 in the GUAM Secretariat took place the meeting of the GUAM member states experts for the consideration of the text of project “Agreement between member states of Organization for Democracy and Economic Development – GUAM on individual issues of protection the intellectual property rights”. Experts of respective ministries and departments participated in the meeting.

Secretary General has informed the Ambassador about goals and objectives of the Organization, priorities of Ukrainian Chairmanship, perspectives of implementation of regional projects in GUAM format, as well as on-going issues of cooperation in GUAM.
On 4-5 February 2010, regular expert meeting of the GUAM Member States Border Control Authorities took place in the GUAM Secretariat in Kyiv under the Ukrainian chairmanship.
On 8 February 2010 GUAM Secretary General Valeri Chechelashvili had a meeting with co-ordinator of department of European programs Bureau on the international affairs on drugs and law-enforcement activity issues of US State department Mr. Lasy A. Wright in GUAM Secretariat.
On 9 February 2010 in GUAM Secretariat took place meeting of GUAM Secretary General Mr. Valeri Chechelashvili with First Secretary of the Embassy of Japan in Ukraine Mr. Kondo Shunsuke upon his request. During the meeting the Sides discussed issues of GUAM-Japan co-operation, implementation of GUAM common tourist product, as well as other issues of mutual interest.

I. General provisions
1. The Council of Ministers for Foreign Affairs of GUAM (hereinafter referred to as "the CMFA") shall be the main executive authority of GUAM that shall ensure and coordinate cooperation of GUAM Participating States in the periods between Summits of Heads of GUAM States.

On 15-16 February 2010, the second UNODC/GUAM Sub-Regional Workshop for GUAM Member States on Enhancing International Legal Co-operation Related to Terrorism (Extradition and Mutual Legal Assistance) took place in the GUAM Secretariat in Kyiv with the participation of the GUAM Member States’ judges, prosecutors and law-enforcement officials and international experts from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ge
On 15 February 2010 Secretary General was received by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia H.E. Mr. David Jalagania. During the meeting were discussed the issues of next GUAM National Coordinators meeting’s time and Agenda. The Sides also discussed implementation of GUAM programs and projects in GUAM and GUAM+ formats. Possible schedule of GUAM perspective events were discussed as well.
On 15-16 February 2010, in the margins of the working visit to Baku, Secretary General had a meetings with Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Abulfas Garayev, GUAM National Coordinator, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Araz Azimov and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Elmar Mamediarov.
On 15-16 February 2010 the 4th Meeting of Working Group on tourism with participation of the representatives of tourist administrations and companies of GUAM Member-States, representatives of Japan and GUAM Secretariat was held in Baku, the Republic of Azerbaijan.

On 23-24 February 2010, the 5th meeting of the Working Sub-Group on Combating Trade-in-Persons and Illegal Migration (WGS-TIP) took place in the GUAM Secretariat in Kyiv/
On March 2, 2010 in Budapest the Informal meeting of Heads of delegations of GUAM member-states took place. Delegations paid visit to the capital of Hungary to participate in the meeting on «Eastern partnership» with the European Union Troika, Baltic countries and countries of Visegrád group.
